Time of the signs

It’s the time of the signs, it really is. For those spiritually awake with eyes to see and ears to hear, the signs are all around us.

Spiritual signs constantly manifest, ready in that very moment for those with the eyes to see and ears to hear. They are there to help us on our spiritual journey and personal growth, they provide confirmation, comfort and reassurance. The other, human signs; such as suffering, pain and everything else we endure are there to warn us.

The 2017 hit by Harry Styles – Sign of the times – talks (sings) of these warning signs, the signs of mankind crying out across the earth. Styles has said that the song is about childbirth.

However, for those on a spiritual path, the song is essentially a spiritual song, with a meaning deeper than just a song about childbirth. It’s a song about how mankind just repeats the same old patterns and fails to recognise the way forward. Let’s take a closer look at the lyrics.

The song begins with:

“Just stop your crying
it’s a sign of the times”.

Crying e.g pain, stress, anxiety, worry, are all things us humans are well versed in and are very much a sign of our times and of the human condition. There are few who will have been through a day without seeing such “crying”. The age old question and challenge which mankind has faced for an eternity is how do we deal with this? What needs to change to put an end to our worldly problems.

“You can’t bribe the door on your way to the sky”.

We are responsible for the way we live, the way one learns (or doesn’t) from our mistakes and that we will be held in judgement when we get to that door in the sky Styles talks of. Look up the Egyptian judgement scene / weighing of the heart for further understanding.

“Breaking through the atmosphere
and things are pretty good from here”.

Seeing earth from afar, like when one is travelling on an aeroplane, all those troubles become distant, quiet and peaceful.

“Why are we always stuck and running from the bullet?”

We believe that death (of the body) is the end, when in reality the soul continues on. The aim of life is make it the best you can, to live a Godly life, helping others, finding peace and oneness. There are many accounts of people who have seen life after death and many who have been able to tap in to the souls on the other side. What they have witnessed is said to be a place of intense pure love like no other. Much of the focus of our lives is based around an imminent end. Running from this bullet effects the way we live, our goals and aims, were this end not the end, we would likely live our lives differently without all the hurry and stridance.

“we gotta get away from here”.

We need to learn, we’ve been here before, that we need to move on, move human consciousness on, otherwise we will keep repeating the same things time and time again and suffering the consequences.

Back in the 1990’s, a North East band in England, UK by the name of Prefab Sprout had a top 40 hit with a song called The Sound of Crying. The theme of their song and this song sung by Styles have some striking similarities. Both have a spiritual tone throughout and talk of this crying of mankind across the earth and hope for a more positive loving world.
