Finding peace in a frantic world.

Deuce Juice

The game of the human condition.

Juice anyone?

Juice (traditionally barley water) has been a soft drink served to players on court and promoted at Wimbledon tennis championships for decades.

Juice is a term also used for the fuel / gas put into a vehicle to get the “power” we need to “stoke” the engine. It is a great a term to describe the same human feeling of false satisfaction; the rush, the feeling of power to even (deuce) the score with an opponent. This is the same juice, internal gut feeling we get from being right, proving someone else wrong or from defending our position in an argument or in politics etc. It’s that charge of energy we feel, what the ego relishes and thrives on.

For those on a spiritual path of personal discovery, stoking the engines isn’t necessary nor a desire. If we are in a state of love and peace, a feeling of juice or deuce would be unsettling. We need to move beyond a rush of juice if we want to find peace and happiness. It’s a simple choice; peace or not? If one is developing themselves, doing the inner work, there comes a time where juice no longer brings any pleasure, when we’d rather have some peace and quiet, where our intentions are better for ourselves and others.

Once we become aware of this juice, it’s a simple choice to make.

Juice anyone?
